Arabians, or otherwise known as Arabs
 
 

The Arabian Horse
The Arabian is one of the if not the oldest horse breed in the world.
It is reconized by its head and shape. It's head is fine and it has a distinctive arched neck. The head is relatively small with a wide forehead.
 
The Arab people call the Arabian "keheilan" meaning pureblood, through and through. Naturally deriving from the desert, Arabians can go with out water for some odd days. Although horses accustomed to our climate don't generally ahve this attribute. So don't get any ideas about skipping to water your Arabian!
 
Arabians are naturally brave and intelligent. They have a high stamina and docile disposition aswell as temperment. Arabs are also very affectionate and loving. Arabians are usually found in show Jumping or eventing.
 
**Interesting Fact** The Arabian only has 17 ribs, 5 lumbar vertibrae, and 16 tailbones, whereas the average equine has 18 ribs, 6 lumbar vertibrae and 18 tailbones.
